What is Emergency Home Repair?

The home repair program provides qualified seniors with minor home repair and modification necessary to attain or maintain a safe living environment.  AASC purchases materials, but the eligible client is responsible for procuring manpower to do the repairs. 

Our agency works closely with members of the Appalachian Service Project to provide labor if family or friends are not available to repair the home.

Repairs must remove an imminent health and safety hazard.  This could be anything from a bad roof leak to a rotten bathroom floor to a need for a wheelchair ramp.
