Four County Transit is the public transportation provider for Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, and Tazewell counties. Our public transportation service operates 22 deviated fixed routes. Most of our routes connect with transfer points. As a proud part of Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens, we provide all of the agency’s transportation services in addition to public transit. Our goal is to increase mobility and meet the transportation needs of the citizens of our four counties. We celebrated the 10th anniversary of our public transportation service in 2008. The transportation needs of our region are still great and growing. To better serve our citizens, Four County Transit plans for future growth. Currently we offer the following routes: ¨ In Buchanan County, we offer the Town of Grundy Trolley Service, the Grundy/Buchanan North Route, and the Grundy/Buchanan South Route. Our public college routes, which provide transportation through the county and to Southwest Virginia Community College, include the Big Rock route, the Garden area route, the Hurley area route, and the Whitewood area route. ¨ In Dickenson County, we offer the Ridge Country Transit Service. The Ridge Country Transit consists of the Town of Clintwood Route, the Town of Haysi Route, and the Clinchco Area Connector. Our public college routes provide transportation through the county and to Southwest Virginia Community College, Mountain Empire Community College, and the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. ¨ In Russell County, we offer the Town of Lebanon Transit Service and the HWY 19 Work Express. The HWY 19 Work Express connects with our Four Seasons Connections in Tazewell County. Our public college route provides transportation through the county and to Southwest Virginia Community College. ¨ In Tazewell County, we offer the Town of Tazewell Route, the Town of Richlands Route, the Town of Cedar Bluff Route, and the Four Seasons Connections. The Four Seasons Connections include the Tazewell to Bluefield Connection, the Richlands to Tazewell Connection and the Richlands/Tazewell Work Express. Our public college route offers trans portation through the county and to Southwest Virginia Community College. Contact Four County Transit
